A WARM ARTICULATE VOICE that loves to have fun. She distinctly differentiates characters and accurately renders Puerto Rican, Mexican, British, French, New York and other accents. Annette excels at bringing the joy of books to kids using Spanish language and Latinx accents.
AUDIOBOOKS: Annette has narrated books for Penguin Random House Audio and Learning Ally. Genres she records include adult fiction, historical non fiction, mystery, YA fiction, children’s books, memoir and self-help.
ACTING: Annette has played a whole lot of characters from grumpy old men to Latinx moms on stages from coast to coast, including every role imaginable for San Francisco’s Shoestring Radio Theatre.
DIVERSE WORK/LIFE: A Bronx native, Annette is the child of Puerto Rican and Portuguese immigrants. She worked in drug treatment programs in Harlem and Hell’s Kitchen, in Mexican American and Puerto Rican civil rights agencies and for a water/wastewater utility.
TRAINING: Annette studied acting with Uta Hagen and Terese Hayden (Actor’s Studio). She graduated from San Francisco’s Meisner Technique Studio. Her voice recording skills are honed by Jim Edgar, Ann Richardson, P.J. Ochlan, Sarah Kliban, Kimberley Wetherell, Pat Fraley, Doug Honorof and others.
EDUCATION: Annette studied sculpture and painting at NYC’s Music and Art High School. An English lit major at Barnard College, she also studied Russian and French.
ANNETTE LOVES to travel, hike and cook. Books she devours range from fiction and biography to nutrition, psychology and aging. Annette cares about the environment and she ADORES listening to audiobooks.
